RiverDawgs will play in 2019 Bluegrass World Series

The RiverDawgs are excited to announce that they, along with the Dubois County Bombers, will be representing the OVL in the 2019 Bluegrass World Series. This tournament will take place from August 5th thru the 11th and will be played in Louisville, with games hosted at the University of Louisville and Slugger Field home of the Reds Triple A team.

The tournament is made of 7 college word bat summer teams from all over the country and the host team made up of former Major League players. Last year’s MLB stars team consisted of players like Chipper Jones, Johnny Damon, Roy Oswalt, Nick Swisher, David Ross, and many others. As of right now the Dawgs are tentatively scheduled to be in the MLB stars pool, which means the Dawgs will play a game against them.

Dubois is the defending Champion of this tournament and the RiverDawgs are very excited to be joining them in year 2 of the Bluegrass World Series. We will be posting additional information and the tournament schedule as it becomes final.
